Description
Who are we?
We are CEM Benchmarking, a global benchmarking firm for institutional investors including pension funds, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds.
Our blue-chip corporate and government clients represent $14 trillion in assets under management. We provide them with objective insights to maximize value for money in both investments and pension administration. This helps our clients better understand where they stand and how to improve their performance. By improving our clients' performance, we, in turn, improve the financial well-being of pensioners globally.
How do we provide unique and actionable insight? By coupling the most extensive global database in the pension arena with unrivalled industry knowledge. All of this comes from experience - we have been at this since 1991. We were founded in Toronto, Canada and expanded to the UK more than a decade ago.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will join our Analyst Team and build skills through an apprenticeship-based model.
You will be part of a collaborative group, working with clients across the world. As a client-facing member of the team, you will be asked to provide insight through both our proprietary analytics and our industry-leading conference.
You will partner with our clients to understand their business and obtain standardized performance metrics from them and their peers. Using your strong excel, coding, analytical and writing skills, you’ll compile data into insights for our clients where they can evaluate their performance metrics relative to their peers in the industry.
You will have the opportunity to continuously learn and ultimately develop a deep understanding of our data and methodologies in order to contribute to our clients’ success.
The successful candidate will build skills with the opportunity to grow and progress into a more senior role.
You Bring:
- A personal desire to make a difference in the financial well-being of pensioners.
- At least 3 years of experience in the investment and/or pension industry. CFA designation is a plus, but not required (if you are interested, we will help you in achieving your designation).
- A curious mind that looks deeper than surface-level data to understand root causes.
- Ability to find trends and create a narrative with large volumes of data.
- University degree in Science, Business, or Engineering.
- Experience with advanced Excel functions and relational databases.
- Written and verbal fluency in English. Preference will be given to Dutch, Spanish or Arabic speakers.
If You Seek:
- The entrepreneurialism of a smaller venture married with the stability of an established firm.
- Opportunities to work with complex datasets to draw elegant insights.
- A hybrid work environment with both in-office and at-home flexibility.
- A curiosity-driven culture founded on a desire to improve lives.
- A team that is stronger for its gender, cultural and intellectual diversity.
- Camaraderie, collaboration, open communication and a high-trust environment.
- Excellent benefits and perks.
Then we want to hear from you!
